Love of Ocean

Love of Ocean

by Ashok Bhargava

Translation in Korean by Ahn Bong Ja

I come to you

and leave behind my home…

snow-capped peaks

forest streams

roaring waterfalls

running rivers

to dive into your depths

to merge in your love

I come to make you

soul of my senses

eyes of my sight

feel of my lips

sound of my laughter

aroma of my breath

rhythm of my heart

taste of my tongue

I come to you

and leave behind

my fears

my doubts

my vulnerabilities

O my love

take me as I am

in your arms

hide me

in your folds

forever.

In Between

12112295_1021832841223332_8501788419297542749_n

look between the sights

hear between the words

feel between the heart

smell between the minds

taste between the moments

there you’ll find

the magic of words

the miracles of poetry,

and a lot more

‘Remember’ poem by Ashok Bhargava

961609_10203100698990976_489842732_n

You and me
on a long and winding road
in a hilly city.

Quietly, uttering no words
naive and carefree
hand in hand we walk
counting power poles.

When tired to move
even a single step
you would say
just one more pole.

Today
all alone
I have returned to our past
the road.

The poles look at me
inquisitively
as if asking about
your whereabouts.

Exhausted from walking
I exert to the next pole
thinking
you were a fast walker.
Perhaps
you are waiting
for me
at the next pole.

‘With You’ by Ashok Bhargava

I am changed and
I feel
a brand new world
unfolds for me

I smile with joy and
discover how selfless
love exists
in you

I discovered how
fascinating is the full moon
and amazing is the morning sun

I ask myself
how so much joy can spring
from everything so ordinary

Maybe it is ME who has grown ordinary
Maybe . . . over long, long years
I just grew smaller

‘You’ by Ashok Bhargava

You said it so casually –
lets just be friends from now on
as if we had no past.

Without waiting
you hide your face
and turn away.

For months we were together
like a tree and a vine
entwined
breathing in the same space
but now I am a tree
seeing you flow away
like a river.

‘Senses’ by Ashok Bhargava

Explore life
Discover love
Feel the vibration
Adore life through the senses

Develop passion
Experience intimacy
Through taste, touch, sight, sound and smell

Seek ecstasy
Ignite joy
Crave for a soul mate

If I were other I
You were other than you
The world
Still would be same

Remember
There are many ways
To hear, taste, touch, see and smell

‘Louisiana’ by Ashok Bhargava

I woke up with her at the wheel,
not sure what time it was,
but the sun was rising. . . .
Two states now behind us left unharmed.
The last state line slipped away
like sand through my fingers.
We didn’t speak a word for at least an hour,
but let the wind do the talking
through the cracked rear window.
It was profound like she could be sometimes.
It was beautiful like she could be sometimes.
I know we had a destination when we started,
but now I’m not so sure; still . . .
nothing seems to stop simply to accommodate
my uncertainty.
We should be in Louisiana soon.
